KUALA LUMPUR, 13 April 2026 - Malaysia Airlines has appointed Kingdom Digital Malaysia as its Creative Automation Agency following the conclusion of its retainer pitch. The appointment builds on a working relationship that began in July 2024, when Kingdom Digital supported Malaysia Airlines on a project basis to meet high-demand digital production needs.

The newly secured retainer formalises a long-term client–agency partnership focused on regional creative adaptation delivered at hyper-speed, powered by Kingdom Digital’s homegrown Digital Creative Automation (DCA) technology and the service. Through this collaboration, Kingdom Digital enables Malaysia Airlines to engage diverse global travellers more effectively while reinforcing its position as Malaysia’s national carrier.

Driving Creative Scale in a Fast-Moving Category

In an aviation landscape defined by fluctuating fares, evolving promotions, and intense competition, speed and consistency are critical. Campaigns often require rapid adaptation across multiple markets, languages, and channels, placing strain on traditional production workflows.

To meet this challenge, Kingdom Digital introduced Digital Creative Automation (DCA) as a Service. Central to this partnership is the adoption of Creative Automation to navigate the inherent uncertainties of the global aviation market. With global volatility often impacting fare  prices unexpectedly, the ability to react to market shifts instantaneously is a necessity.

By adopting a "human-in-the-loop" Creative Automation process, Kingdom Digital ensures Malaysia Airlines can now streamline workflows, pivot messaging and pricing across multi-channel global campaigns at a moment's notice, reducing production turnaround times by up to 80%. This hybrid approach provides the agility to react to real-world volatility while maintaining the strategic oversight that only human expertise can provide.

Ultimately, by automating execution-heavy processes, Malaysia Airlines is able to bring campaigns to market faster while preserving creative quality, brand consistency and the agility to respond to evolving market dynamics. This operational shift has also allowed the Malaysia Airlines marketing team to redirect resources towards higher-value priorities, from shaping brand narratives to designing campaigns that connect emotionally with travellers throughout their journey.

Human + Technology: A Strategic Advantage

Malaysia Airlines selected Kingdom Digital for its ability to deliver a fully integrated creative  automation pipeline, including dynamic creative templating, multilingual adaptation, high volume rich media versioning, and expanded video outputs. This end-to-end capability is powered by a dedicated Automation Team with deep expertise in creative automation best practices.

The retainer supports global marketing campaigns across the different regions, spanning more than 20 countries. It enables the delivery of multi-language creative assets across static, HTML5, and video formats, produced at scale across multiple dimensions, destinations, and  placements without compromising craftsmanship.

By automating creative production, Kingdom Digital has helped Malaysia Airlines move beyond traditional execution limitations, solving operational challenges while unlocking richer, more  dynamic brand storytelling.

Made Differently: Building Smarter Creative Ecosystems

This retainer reflects more than operational efficiency. It reflects a shared belief in building marketing systems that enable creativity rather than constrain it.

By working closely as a true client–agency partner, Kingdom Digital and Malaysia Airlines are continuing to refine and evolve workflows, deepen collaboration, and expand creative  innovation. Together, we are shaping a creative ecosystem where technology accelerates possibility, and human insight shapes meaning.

“At Kingdom Digital, we believe technology should empower people, not replace them,” said Ryan Ong, CEO of Kingdom Digital. “This partnership with Malaysia Airlines allows us to solve real business operational challenges while unlocking new creative potential. By combining automation with human craft, we’re pushing the boundaries of creative AI automation to build smarter marketing ecosystems that scale.”

This appointment reinforces Kingdom Digital’s leadership in Southeast Asia, supported by the strength of Hakuhodo International’s strategic digital network, H+ Malaysia, as more brands adopt hybrid creative-tech models that blend AI with human creativity, precision  with storytelling, and scalability with purpose.

Together, Malaysia Airlines and Kingdom Digital are redefining how creativity and automation can work hand in hand—not just to move faster, but to build brands that inspire trust, confidence, and possibility across dynamic global markets.
